Been a good May passage for tundra Ringed Plovers along the coast. Peak count of 130 one evening at Cley.

There has been a strong showing of wood sandpipers at Cley, with 4-6 birds daily from late April to mid May. The reflections from a nearby rape field caught my eye with this bird one evening.
It’s been one of the best springs in a long time for waders at Cley, with a rejuvenated North Scrape attracting most of the action

I don’t often see black- necked grebes so was pleased to see 4 together whilst visiting family in Essex -although not the 7 reported here recently.
