Got an original Dancing Stage marquee a good while back, and as cool as it is… I’ve always wanted an original DDR marquee to complete my JP 573 collection… Turns out adamaniax has a similar story… but he has a JP DDR marquee and needs an EU DS marquee And so the trade is done 😎

Finally finished 🥳 Really happy with the final result - easily the nicest pads I’ve ever played on. Fully working proper readers… original marquee… new PC… Can finally DDR!
Turning OFF ecomode for the photo op Cabinet part is 100% finished now… just waiting on parts for the pads now. Soon.

More fun differences between JP and EU DDR CRT cabs The spotlights on a Japanese model are pink and green, but on an EU model, they’re red and orange! The spotlights themselves are also quite different in design 🙃 I prefer the Japanese colours, but they’re ALWAYS faded 😢
Arcade operators are crazy… WHY would you spray paint the bottom of your DDR panels 😭
Brought the CRT much closer to the glass bezel… looks WAY nicer now 😁
