Den of Geek writer, wrestling enjoyer, says stupid crap. Host of Zeroes of Wrestling, a podcast about watching the worst-rated matches of every wrestling PPV: https://redcircle.com/shows/zeroes-of-wrestling

Despite all the cameos in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, outside of the other Holland Spidey movies, the only thing I'd suggest to check out before seeing it is Wonder Man. Does a good job setting up Damage Control's bullshit and the way governments are starting to feel about super-powered people.

It's weird how when the 90's Spider-Man cartoon did Secret Wars, they replaced Hulk with Lizard, but in Brand New Day, they put Banner in a spot that would have been Curt Connors 99% of the time. I guess kindly scientists with green, rampaging monster alter egos in torn lab coats are interchangeable

At times, Brand New Day feels like it was written by a 12-year-old boy: "So then Spider-Man and the Punisher fight [REDACTED] and the Hulk! Then Spider-Man fights ninjas! Oh, and Black Widow gets naked!"

That TNA stipulation where if Leon Slater loses, his entire title reign gets retconned from the record books is incredibly stupid, yet I can't help but think it would have been perfect in CHIKARA. The idea of a contractual stipulation where the results of a wrestling match can somehow alter history.

I see now that anyone who told me not to cover the weekly TNA PPVs for ZOW did not have my best interests in mind. How dare you try to prevent me from watching Hermie Sadler matches? How did nobody ever book this guy against David Flair?
