It’s truly unreal. If the situation were reversed, a Republican governor would have verified in a day or two if a Dem Senator was alive or dead (through one means or another). Beshear and the entire democratic leadership look weak and ineffective, again. What a joke.

Why isn’t he moving more aggressively to do this? You know if it was a Republican Governor and a democratic Senator, the GOP Governor would declare the seat vacant. This is more fraud from the GOP. If Mitch isn’t dead, prove it!

I think the Governor of Kentucky has every right and responsibility to either see Mitch or declare the seat vacant.

Isn't it weird that this week a currently sitting president had to pay a woman MILLIONS of dollars for *raping* (and defaming) her—and the media has forgotten all about it? There was a time that this would have been the ONLY story—until the rapist was driving from office.

So….. in the day of GenAI, the media is just going to accept the photo of Mitch and his wife and say case closed? If Mitch is as good as his doctors allegedly say he is, then record a short video where he talks about being excited to get back to work! This is insane!

I think @govandybeshear.bsky.social should just appoint a Dem to fill McConnell’s seat. It would force proof of life, and the state law that stripped him of that power should be challenged in court. I’m sure Thune would refuse to seat the appointee, but I think it’s a fight worth having. BE BOLD!
