I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!

Hey, everybody. I uh. Hate that I have to do this. I'd always hoped I never would. But after what's gone on with work, I'm officially At That Point. So, if you could share this around, I'd be deeply appreciative. Thanks. gofund.me/80ed923c3

Now seems like a good time to introduce myself, seeing as I never did, oops. My name is Gabrielle! I’ve been a gaming journalist for four years now and do a bit of everything - reviews/previews, interviews, events, and evergreen content. And I love me some baking, anime, and funk music, too! 🕺🏻

This weekend is a frustratingly bizarre one in this girl’s life overall (I’m a gaming journalist - iykyk), but at least it’s my first anniversary with my boyfriend and I have time off for a few days to spend with him to celebrate ❤️

Unfortunately, my time as an Editor for TheGamer.com has come to an end. I met some of the best coworkers I've ever had there, I learned and grew a lot. If anyone is looking for a journo, especially for guides, reviews, VR, horror, and farming RPGs, I'd love to hear from you.

In light of being laid off from TheGamer today, I don't intend to let my passions die out. I'll continue to create work independently, and keep that excitement for whatever opportunities come my way in the future. This was a dream career, and I'm not done with it yet.
