You want publicly funded early childhood education, child care, day care in St. Louis City? Send voters a tax for that based in St. Louis Public Schools, appropriated by School Board or Board of Alders, NOT a #TransparencyFail appointed board controlled by school privatization activists.

It’s wild that a #DeadbeatDeveloper came to STL to conduct a charm offensive with local media, lobby for more public money, while owing $200K in property taxes.

This article is missing an important piece of information. The owners of AT&T Bldg owe $228,892.34 in back taxes property.stlouis-mo.gov/parcel/view/... and as a #DeadbeatDeveloper should not be getting corporate welfare from State or St. Louis City.

Agenda for #TransparencyFail Loughborough Commons CID Board meeting says they want to expand tax district's boundaries. This will happen more and more with developer controlled tax districts. What starts out as taxes diverted to developers for a specific project turns into a forever ATM.

“The laws in Missouri when it comes to landlord eviction laws are pretty conservatively set up to protect the landlord... These are brought up as more of contract issues and business matters than really what it is — life and death, or being housed or unhoused.” www.stlpr.org/government-p...

A St. Louis program aimed to prevent evictions. A short-term rental fee could help sustain it

Nearly three years after its inception, St. Louis’ right to counsel program has struggled to meet the demand of people facing evictions.

From today’s @moundcitymessenger.bsky.social A look at the elevated photography by the office of the PBOA Presumably, “anyone else” would include the campaigns of incumbent aldermen. So, concerns that these publicly-financed photos will end up being used in campaign literature may have some merit.

Readers have asked about photos featured on the Board of Aldermen’s social media. We took these questions to the President’s office.

St. Louis officials announced the availability of $5 million of Ram’s settlement funds to help repair rental housing damaged by last year’s tornado in north St. Louis.

Round-up of efforts to regulate data centers in the STL region from STLPR. In St. Louis city: “While those policies are being crafted, one large data center project is moving forward — the Armory Innovation District, a $3 billion, 120 megawatt center near the Armory in Midtown.” #ArmoryDataCenter

After initial backlash led to data center bans in the St. Louis region, some local governments are now putting guardrails in place that would allow the projects to move to the area. Here’s a look at where those attempts to make those protections stand:
