This would have been a nice @swradiogram.bsky.social collection of QSLs if not for the sync errors. I also forgot to start Audacity to capture the audio samples. So it goes. Program 490, WRMI 5850 kHz 0800z
@swradiogram.bsky.social Program 460 on WINB 0230Z 1 Aug on 9265 kHz received in SE Arizona. One image did not trigger. Near 100% text.
I think this battle was lost shortly after Samuel Morse and Ezra Cornell erected their first telegraph poles in 1844.
As usual, best direct copy of @swradiogram.bsky.social is at 0800z on 5850 kHz. Still a few sync errors, on the middle set of images. I swear I’ll get another horizontal antenna up again, but I’m gonna wait until temps are under 105°F
"Nothing disturbs me more than the glorification of stupidity." Carl Sagan
Very good @swradiogram.bsky.social image decodes from WINB 9265 kHz at 0230Z. Sync errors seen in many of them, but a good reception night for me in SE Arizona (surrounded by monsoon thunderstorms!)
I'm guessing if you were working the 2-meter amateur bands in the eastern or central U.S. today, you cleaned up. MUF for E-Skip was above 162 MHz for a long stretch. I've run out of superlatives for this season! I doubt we're done! My RabbitEars.Info FM autologger from South Jersey for today.
@swradiogram.bsky.social 5850 kHz 0800z received direct in SE Arizona. Sync issues in 6 of 8 images. The MFSK64 trigger was processed and 100% text
Trump is bitching about the wildfire smoke from Canada. When American wildlands catch fire, Canadians don't bitch about it - they send us firefighters and support aircraft. One of their pilots recently died fighting a fire in Colorado. Instead of bitching, Trump should send firefighters to Canada!
@swradiogram.bsky.social Program 458 WINB 9265 kHz 0230z. Not too bad with the exception of not triggering MFSK64. A manual change and the images decoded

Suzanne Vega birthday image (with sync error) from The Mighty KBC on WRMI 7780 kHz at 0931Z 11 July. Captured in SE Arizona @swradiogram.bsky.social
@swradiogram.bsky.social 0230Z 9265 kHz WINB received in SE Arizona. Last (big!) image didn’t trigger, but otherwise decent reception.
As is usually the case, the 0800Z 5850 kHz WRMI @swradiogram.bsky.social is the best direct copy in SE Arizona. Thanks @radioactiveal.bsky.social for taking it on and creating a great show.
Really solid @swradiogram.bsky.social reception tonight from WINB 9265 kHz, and thanks @radioactiveal.bsky.social for the format! May the 4th of July be with you, indeed
@swradiogram.bsky.social on WRMI 5850kHz. The operative word is “sync”. I have an Audacity recording I will decode later. @popshopradio.bsky.social
Happy Birthday, Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys. The Mighty KBC 9455 kHz WRMI MFSK64 received in SE Arizona @swradiogram.bsky.social
Photographer Pennie Smith, The Clash, September 1979, an image used for the 'London Calling' album cover art and voted best rock 'n' roll image #WomensArt
Not stellar @swradiogram.bsky.social copy in SE Arizona from WINB 9265 kHz at 0230z, but reasonable. One image didn’t trigger. Nice reminiscing about hearing (and watching) CBC growing up in NW Ohio
On Sunday, Mel Brooks (one of my favorite directors) will turn 100! Amazing but true. And he's still sharp as a tack. What an impressive life he's led. So many funny movies. And as he told the Associated Press, "I enjoy living. I’d like to do it as long as I can.” apnews.com/article/mel-...

I think the @swradiogram.bsky.social Program 454 images from WRMI 5850 kHz at 0800z would have decoded nicely, except once again the MFSK64 RxID trigger was not processed. Unless there was a timely static crash, I’m at a loss as to why. Comments invited.
Chet Atkins, WA4CZD/W4CGP (SK), from The Mighty KBC MFSK64 on WRMI 9454 kHz, 21 June 0332Z. Decoded in SE Arizona. @swradiogram.bsky.social
If I understand correctly, CHU will go off air at 0000Z 22 June (1700 MST tomorrow). I’m going to attempt to record the last few minutes. Is anyone is planning the same? @swradiogram.bsky.social @radioactiveal.bsky.social @popshopradio.bsky.social @bobcatface.bsky.social @w2njl.bsky.social
20 June 26 0230Z WRMI @swradiogram.bsky.social received in SE Arizona. Not 100% character decode and looks like two images didn’t trigger. Better than last week at the same time though.
No WRMI 5850kHz @swradiogram.bsky.social for me overnight. The monsoon has come to SE Arizona and I was disconnected for lightning (and still am this morning).
Not bad reception in SE Arizona of @swradiogram.bsky.social Prog 453 from WINB 9265 kHz at 0230z. Decoded the Olivia this time. Signal was fading the last 10 minutes so not all images received. One thing for sure: I can’t wait for Extreme Shortwave
This book is titled “One Million”. As the image shows, it contains one million (10^6) dots. One trillion (10^12) dots requires one million copies of the book. The book is 5/8” thick, meaning one million books stacked to have one trillion dots would be about 10 miles (16km) high.
Great 5850 kHz WRMI signal for @swradiogram.bsky.social overnight. Best image decodes in a while. Sadly, even with Flgidi squelch turned off, the Olivia switch was not processed. Otherwise it would have been a near-perfect reception. So it goes.
The synchronized beats from one of the time station's three frequencies might be etched in your mind. But on June 22, Canada's National Research Council will shut down its CHU shortwave radio service. The ground-based transmitters are still heavily relied upon by governments and researchers.
