"verify your age" I had a pass/fail class in college where the final assignment required you to render all the projects you had made in Maya into 3-point angle, short animations, compile them into a reel with a dynamic soundtrack, and then burn it onto a VHS. If the tape played, you passed.

Timeline cleanse: American pikas calling to each other in the Canadian Rockies. Sound on to hear the loud “MEEP!” made by these potato sized alpine mammals. They’re way off under those cliffs but the calls travel. *this is likely a niche post, but it’s one of my favorite sounds in the world.
There was a -delightful- fellow in a creative writing college class who told me that the character who gave a suicidal child a seed to plant and nurture so she could grow up with it and find out what it became, should be the one who burned that tree down later in the story as an act of "tough love".

Oof. Lost one of our hens to heat today. Putting the AC up in my room and putting frozen bottles of water in their coop to try to prevent any other losses. Poor dainty.
