what the fuck the new Ecstatica re-release is insane. The game offers multiple versions of the games art and a...software renderer that does the whole thing in real time that goes up to crazy resolutions in an extended graphics settings. It also lets you toggle different versions graphic adjustments

Not only that, you have the option to choose the PC-98, PC Engine, X68000, or MSX2 versions of the soundtrack to listen to while playing! One FAKKU staff said this was a feature they really wanted to implement so I'm glad that they were able to!

Played through the demo of PC-98 horror game "Dead of the Brain" and would like to share why FAKKU's version is more than just a port but rather easily the most definitive version of the game as it provides a lot of cool technical features.

In the Japanese PC-88 port of Ultima 3: Exodus by Pony Canyon, if you try to Talk/Transact (T key) to an enemy monster, they literally say "FUCK YOU!!" in English. Hilarious, and apparently nobody has discovered or posted about this before online in English or Japanese

My favorite RPG of all time and its not even a close race. Genuinely opened my mind up to what you could do with a game's narrative and using the portable aspects of the console alongside it to really ram it home. Awkward as shit to play, weird localization, immense vibes and soundtrack. Perfection.

Exactly 20 (!!) years ago today, Contact - another pretty deep-ass deep-cut in the GhM catalog - was released on the Nintendo DS in North America🥳🛸 Happy (North American) birthday, Terry & Professor!😁🎂

I like how these games are breaking out of Roblox & mobile into the same stores & platforms as "core" / AAA gaming. AAA games are often stale products that claim relevance simply for being the biggest games around, but this makes it clear that no, they aren't - not even in their home turf.
