One habit I picked up earlier this year with coding agents is saving notes from some sessions inside each repository, but never committing them. Kinda like portable memory and context I can reuse with ANY coding agent in future sessions.

Last week we released lstk v1, the new recommended @localstack.cloud CLI for humans and coding agents to manage emulators, view deployed resources, and more. To make room for other product work, I designed a few agent loops to help maintain the CLI and automate recurring work with the team.
Things we shipped last month in the @localstack.cloud CLI: + New snapshot command for saving and loading snapshots. 💿 + New reset command and --persist option. ♻️ + New Snowflake and Azure emulation support. 🏂 + New aws and az proxy commands. 🚪 . . . . % npx @localstack/lstk
Sometimes product clarity means deleting more than you add to stop anyone from spending cycles on terrible ideas.
Yesterday we shipped one of the biggest changes for @localstack.cloud, one that will help us build and evolve the platform. The scope included one of the most exciting projects I've worked on in a while: a new CLI (lstk) built from the ground up as an orchestration layer for infrastructure.
Built a small app today to monitor a local CUDA server and keep an eye on GPU and memory usage.
Designed our new HTML emails for @localstack.cloud, now sent to all new users after they sign up. Kudos to Luca for implementing these in a day, and Alexa for the copy help! 📥
What's new in #LocalStack? Look near the bottom left. The console now features a subtle card stack, which surfaces the latest product releases. 📮 % localstack update all
Some upcoming user interaction optimizations for the sign-up flow on @localstack.cloud, going from 12 to 8 steps.
[...] you’ll need to design your remote model in such a way that it supports and enhances what’s already working, and allows continued experimentation, without getting in the way. 💯

CLI UX relies on the small details that can make a difference. Here are two improvements I contributed to the @localstack.cloud CLI recently: › version option accurately shows CLI version (available) › start command includes web app URL (coming soon)
Early designs for a combined help menu. 🛟 › Download desktop app › Open documentation › Join community › Contact the team › Read the latest release notes
Just opened a merge request in @gitlab.com to fix a small UI bug as a birthday gift to myself, 7 years after contributing to GitLab for the first time. If I could go back in time, I would do it all over again. 🏀
We have partnered with LocalStack to ensure their local emulation works with these new capabilities. Here is their blog post to learn more blog.localstack.cloud/aws-step-fun...

Coming next week: Navigation changes in #localstack › Switch between your workspaces › Access workspace settings and theme preferences Took 98 PR conversations to mold this in the current UI playing catchup with the engineer—it was worth it. 💜
Can't wait to share more about form and function in product design with the team in the next days.
