Unsolicited writing advice: no. 338: The reason a synopsis is so tricky to write is that it has to convey something complex in a laser-focused way. That means any bagginess in the manuscript is probably going to come out. So keep it simple, keep it clear, and keep it to one page only.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 552: Adverbs slow down the pace of your writing, and are often unnecessary in dialogue. It's always a good idea to check to see if you really need them, or whether the meaning has already been conveyed.
