I like Abdul a lot and I'm overjoyed at his nomination, but we DO need to acknowledge an aspect of the uphill battle to come; He ran a pretty good campaign. BUT that campaign was massively bolstered by Stevens running an embarrassingly BAD campaign
In a lot of ways Abdul's nomination reflects a major youth victory in the electorate, but then you have to remember that we are so deep into gerontocracy that "youth" is "under 40"
