Congratulations to GRI Scholarship recipient Regina Chua, who received another award for her highly commended poster at the 42nd International Australasian Winter Conference on Brain Research. Attendance was supported by the @NeurologicalNZ Foundation.

GRI Scholarship recipient, Regina Chua presented her poster, "Systematic Review of the Geospatial Risk Factors of Parkinson's Disease", at the Health Research Society of Canterbury Poster Expo last week. She took home the Best Poster Award and a cash prize! Congratulations.

Camila Cesar attended the Agro-Geoinformatics International Conference in Sanya, China. She presented, “Developing an integrated multi-scale framework for satellite-based methane emission monitoring in Aotearoa New Zealand’s pastoral systems: A Canterbury farm case study.”

Last week at the River Flow Conference in Italy, Dr Paola Di Fluri (University of Bologna) presented research developed during her 2025 research visit to the GRI. She gave a talk, "Physically Based Simulation of Flood-Triggered Oil Spills Release Using the CAESAR-Lisflood Model"
