Lowest Rhine summer flow on record (~125 years). (* The seasonal low flow is generally in late summer - early autumn. Gather may be some rare very low flows in winter, presumably freeze related.)

#Ozsnow event incoming Monday-Tuesday is currently showing a lot of pre-frontal rain. May improve; there's quite a lot of energy in it.

Interesting how many power stations in Europe appear to use run-of-river cooling – don't (directly) evaporate the water, just heat up the river as it flows past. There are none similar in Australia. Our rivers are too small and the flows too irregular.
