I got it done eventually. Too late to really work as an advert, but still. Anyway, birthday stream later today/tomorrow (depending where you are) 19:30 BST. Hope to see y'all there. I should go to bed.

Just kinda realised that I should've been advertising my birthday stream already. (Sat 1st August, 7:30pm) Oh well, if I get the bsky post done this evening, it at least gives people 2 days notice. And I have been talking about it on stream and to people. Hopefully that'd be enough. :)

I don't often talk about sport here, let alone football, but one thing that bugs me about that specific sport is the general tendency to switch out their manager whenever something goes wrong. I have yet to see another sport do this to that same extent, and it completely boggles my mind.

Good news: when I get in my own head when streaming, it's less noticeable than it used to be Bad news: I'm still getting into my own head in the first place. Oh well, it is what it is. It could be a lot worse :) I'm still enjoying streaming. Which reminds me, I need to buy a new XLR mic cable.

The funny thing is, I don't even really like football (soccer), lol. But it can be so easy to be wrapped up into narratives around it without intending to be.

Ultimately one of the most interesting, and aggrivating, things about sport is that it isn't fiction, yet we collectively treat it like it is. Including narrativising results and the events that surround them. Sport is won and lost on the field, though what happens off it can heavily affect it.

Ok, saw the first 13 episodes of Phineas and Ferb. Might as well do a megathread. Who knows, maybe it'll gain some traction. Is probably weird to do this in 2026, but I don't really care. :) Since I have space here, I might as well mention the theme song. ... It's pretty good. Especially the end.
