Sunday was a perfect day to visit @mobotgarden.bsky.social. Did one of the guided tours and learned some fun history before our usual stroll around the gardens.

The plague comes to Raymondville! Another opportunity to dig out the #PlagueDoctor costume and take a group of middle school students on a journey during the time of the plague. Also got to talk about handwashing with the younger kids and make hand prints on agar plates. Stay tuned for the results!
Explain your @: I study "germs". Inspired by a character from #MicrobeZoo at my alma mater @michiganstateu.bsky.social. I juggle the concepts that most microbes are beneficial but we need to respect that some may be harmful. At #ASMicrobe I asked Johnny Chang to draw my @ (no other prompts)!
Explain your @: it's my Inupiaq name, misspelled :)
