a drawer of funky and sometimes funny things 🌟 currently working on a visual novel about an awful boy and his demon! ✉️ officialgertritude@gmail.com 🎨 gertportfolio.wordpress.com 🏷️ #demonvn #ycgb #emperorvn #research #art #oc

Posting a regular turkey sandwich video to YouTube and all the other food creators start pistol-whipping me with their italian-inspired caprese sandwiches with homemade pesto on focaccia

not enough people warn that the horrors of growing up on rpgmaker games/certain visual novels is that it makes you want to write a super secret epic true route that unnecessarily lengthens the story and ends on an overly happy note for every single thing you make

More seriously, I do like setting things in a Time and Place, but I also do wish there was an easier way to do Whatever when writing historically-set fiction that didn't immediately set off people's "This is COMPLETELY INACCURATE" alarms

i'm sick of doing research. my 1940s inspired story will take place in my original continent do not steal Europa, and feature unique and equally original countries such as New Germania, Franceburg, West Luxia, England, The Allied Providences of Americia,

People online will literally go "heh... this straight ship is kind of gay to me" and then they will write it like "he (man) kissed her in a masculine fashion, as she womanly-ed grabbed him from a position of submission, due to being female, and then they had 2.5 children"

mordred vs. lillie is literally unstoppable force vs. immovable object and the demon is like a barely set cube of gelatin positioned between them who is crushed to a pulp by the wind before they reach each other

I do enjoy how the undertale characters doing fuck all in deltarune further contributes to its "kids series where the adults are vague impressions in the background, separate entities from the fantastical world of the youth" vibe

good-looking indie stuff is cool but i am not a fan of how some spaces seem to go "you can make something just as good as the industry, but YOURS!" when I believe the appeal of independent works is engaging with stuff of amateur/unacceptable quality and still feeling moved

I've seen enough AI slop to believe that we need to start drone striking data centers but also you guys can't just advertise your stuff as being "human made." You have to use adjectives and phrases to describe your work, instead of constantly putting it in comparison to AI

just looked up "foot stocks" to get a reference for something. was everyone else aware this was a fetish but me. did the puritans also have oiled-up foot tickle time to punish citizens for stealing chickens

The thing about danganronpa v3 is that regardless of how well-executed it was, I just have to respect the plot concept of "what if danganronpa went on forever and was dozens of seasons long and they started running out of ideas while experiencing horrific seasonal rot"

Day-off breakfast goal was to make a bacon egg and cheese, eat half with a healthy side, and then leave the other half for a loving family member, but no one is inside my house and I was too lazy to make anything else so the other half keeps calling to me like a cursed artifact

if your story is a metaphor for anxiety or depression or whatever then i do not care. but the monster symbolizing anxiety or depression has to be real. it cannot be a dream. you are not writing some middle ages allegorical tale make that monster go "no one loves you... AND i'm under your bed!"
