Most vendor conferences in our ecosystem lean towards talks on tooling. This leaves less room for talks on practices and approaches to properly manage these systems. At EventCentric our program will focus on actionable tactics and strategies that developers and architects can apply in their work.

I just ran across this: Multiverse which appears to be a micro blogging network (eg. Twitter, Mastodon, etc.) Members appear to be able to post more than just text, so you have greater freedom of expression. That seems to be what makes it different. I have not joined so there may be more.
