The main thing, for me about the LG TV scandal is, that this is why when I get "smart appliances" they must be just BLE/Bluetooth and no proprietary app must be required. Because smart appliances is good and useful but there's no reason to connect it online at all! Why my light bulb needs Internet?!

Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 is insanely fast and quite good. It's a weird model because of origin and their extremely cheap tier so they can vaccum your data for training but even the non-contributor tier isn't that expensive.

I actually was thinking a bit about it and decided to make it simple for my blog (low CSS effort). Basically it does have a toggle but the default is the browser theme. And because my blog has no cookies whatsoever you can toggle it but it isn't persisted.

🔥 New blog post! My post on two-state dark mode toggles sparked a lot of discussion around what the optimal dark mode toggle design is. But should you have a (persistent) dark mode toggle *at all*? I have since been convinced that for most websites, the answer is NO. lea.verou.me/blog/2026/da...

Okay I must be honest, I was doing pi.dev because it is really cool, but I installed OpenCode to try it out. Damn that is such a fresh new thing and much more complex. Of course it brings some opinions but I have been missing quite a bit with just Pi and Copilot.
