Am trying to write something a bit different, which is a challenge for me but a nice one! One piece of advice on the course I'm doing is to write it by hand. I just tried. I managed a page of notes and I JUST COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Has anyone sold something at auction to raise a little extra cash in recent years? Doesn't have to be an enormous profit or an amazing sum of money or anything like that. It's for a piece I'm writing #journorequest UK based.

I have five kids, but as I lived in France until April last year, this is my first World Book Day. Only my youngest (9) wanted to participate, and it was so cute/such fun. But I couldn't help be relieved I never had to try organising FIVE costumes. I love books but... 😬

I don't always write at the weekends. But this morning I realised I was furious, anxious, annoyed, exhausted, tearful for no apparent reason (except, ungrateful kids, lack of sleep, relentless chores that is). So I decided rather than smash up the kitchen, I'd write.
