I think the grazing, bruising and swelling reached its peak yesterday. Nose feels more blocked but firmly instructed not to blow it! Will do important work presentation then switch off until Monday. Hopefully tomorrow I can take fewer painkillers and it should be all uphill from here.

After talking to 111 this morning, I went to the Stamford Minor Injuries unit. Highly recommend but only open Mon-Fri office hours. Nose is not broken but they did call it mild concussion. I need to take things easier. So I’ve taken the day off. Can now use ibuprofen and enjoyed a lunchtime nap.

I don’t recommend tripping over a kerb and doing a superman slide face first. This is gonna be sore and ugly for a while. Thanks to everyone at Lincoln Orienteering Group who helped. Doc says I’m fine but gave me some things to look out for. Gonna need some new glasses and a new club top too

4am and I got water at Morrisons. There is plenty there but I'm sure it will get busy once people start waking up. After a 3-hour attempt last night, I'm grateful. And they gave me enough to keep stored for the next time too...

One day of rain and I’m pumping 100l of water into the big tank. It astounds me how much water comes off my roof that I’ve been wasting. This was empty this morning. Gotta get more small butts and another big one next year.

Yes, mum, I’m going worry you all day until you take me to the vet. And then when we arrive I’ll perk up and everything is fine. Just cos I like to meet new and interesting people and make sure you spend £50 Thanks, Molly! 🙄😳💷

Tomatoes are down. Last remaining ones have a week to ripen before they become chutney. Glad I still have a few winter crops in the greenhouse. Closing doors now as the temperatures drop. Will deal with the grow bags another day.

Just back from Colchester and delighted that my petrol research enabled me to fill up at £1.66. Unleaded not diesel obvs! Busy day after a busy week. Let the weekend begin!

Last working day of a busy week. And next week won’t be any quieter. Slightly low after coming back from the Lakes but am already planning the next trip for some point next year.
