Realised this is the first time where I'm organising a 2-day event entirely on my own, and I'm personally feeling responsible for the well-being of 15 people starting now until probably once I know they got their trains/flights back 🫠

In Italy I lived in a house with routinely 35 degrees inside for weeks in a row. My tip: take showers and put your clothes on without drying yourself, then when your hair is dry make it wet again under the sink, continuously. Generally, lie on the floor while wet and hate the whole thing.

I was just thinking how I already really liked Düsseldorf because of the Japanese and Korean people and I now love it because of the growing Chinese population which is bringing even more great food and culture. And I bet that already sounds less far right-suitable...

Tuner is good: funny, cute characters, and uniquely centring hyperacusis. And boy will you hear some sounds! Metallic, piercing, overwhelming sounds - besides much piano. I liked this, it helps get a sense of a condition which spellcheck still doesn't recognise. (1) #perception #senses #hyperacusis

Going to see Tuner this week as it's likely the first film featuring hyperacusis and hyperacusis is very cool (from a philosophical pov) - very not cool to have it. Will report back. youtu.be/4bYt1n4tzZg

Slowly watching the recordings of the World Team Table Tennis Championships, just about at the quarter finals. On campus this week students were good at not spoilering...except they all came to practice with a team China jersey 😬
