Like this thing uses nitrogen right? what happens if you get into a car accident and the tanks rupture? do you get severe frostbite and lose a limb? or worse? People who get into accidents can bearly manage to drive their car when its on the ground, imagine giving them one that can fly. Holy shit.

An expensive toy with no every day to day practical use is just an expensive toy.
I feel like the Apple HomeView device is not really something people will buy in droves. It's a screen that provides Siri, video calling, and has a stand. Something a phone, a tablet and a laptop can already do.
Deeply saddened to hear actor RJ Mitte (who played Walter White's son in Breaking Bad) passed away from suicide. He was really good in that show and had so much potential ahead of him. Thoughts with his family and loved ones
RIP Margaret Hamilton, a legend and pioneer Pictured below is the Apollo guidance software she and her MIT team wrote. She worked to gain hands-on experience during a time when computer science courses were uncommon and software engineering courses did not exist.
Re-watched Spider-Man Brand New Day now that it’s out on digital after seeing it on the big screen. They really did a great job with that movie.
Meta AI is just not something I trust. And here’s a damn good reason why you shouldn’t either. #AI #Muse
So uhhhhhh… Apparently meta's muse "AI" is just straight up doxxing people to strangers on FB marketplace??? This has the potential to hurt so so many people, and I genuinely wonder how long before they roll out a fix for it.
Watched too much "AI is coming to kill humanity" videos. Does that mean I've stopped believing it? No, I still very much believe it's a problem. I just need to give my brain some "touch-grass" moments.
Weird. ChatGPT keeps throwing a pop-up encouraging me to "explore sites", I must of dismissed it 4-5 times now.
Oh cool. Yeah no just help yourself. Wtf Altman, pick the phone up next time, and do it much much sooner not months after you find out.
What we know about the data accessed in the OpenAI Medicare hack
"Google didn't consider it necessary to disclose the incidents earlier because its model stopped the hacking upon learning the companies were real" I don't think it should be up to the tech companies themselves whether its reportable or not www.abc.net.au/news/2026-09... #AI
Gemini hacked three companies in first known breakout by Google's AI
The hacks occurred during a cybersecurity test conducted by an independent evaluation company.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang disagrees with the dangers people have been warning about AI and the idea of needing to slow it down. Keep in mind, this is someone whose biggest customers are AI companies who have been buying countless chips needed to grow both the scale and computing power. #AI
The way I'm seeing it, every AI company is saying yes we all need to slow down but at the same time are saying they are the one true company determined to get AI right. All trying to race to the top of the hill before their competitors. That's a problem. #AI
OpenAI now say an unreleased new version of ChatGPT added instructions to itself, including a very concerning message. This wasn't something it was told to do. #AI
Investigating the potential use of Redis in my social media platform. Makes sense. Reduced round trips to the database. Faster returned results. #latenightcoding #redis
Is it just me or are light coloured wallpapers on iOS 27 no longer a good idea on account of the icons like wifi and battery not auto-changing to a darker colour anymore? Or did I miss something? #iOS27
It's kinda a neat little UI touch that my iPhone now shows a little red visual ping effect if my phone battery is 15% or lower. I'm one of those people who always have my phone charged, but I like the effect.
Tristan brings up a good point. We can't get 1200 humans to agree to do the same thing. A swarm of 1200 AI agents agreeing on the same goal instantaneously is scary. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JbD... #AI

The thing is, I don't think these hacks by AI are malicious in nature. The problem is it's just dangerously persistent in trying to solve a task given to it, a task that in no way says "hey break into this" to achieve the task given to it. AI companies need to work on that.
This is a more concerning development. For non-programmers. RubyGems is a library of packages developers can use in their applications. The use of any of these malicious packages could further spread it's reach on the internet. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-09...
OpenAI agents attacked software service months before Hugging Face hack
Agents being tested by OpenAI uploaded hundreds of malicious packages to RubyGems in May, researchers have revealed.

Would I pay $3499 Australian for an iPhone Duo? No. No I would not.
I welcome this change to be honest. For too long the algorithms have been serving the platform and not the people. Giving people a choice empowers them to improve their feed. No algo = good and its something I've been working on with my own platform I'm building #socialmediaplatforms
Social media platforms to be forced to offer algorithm opt-out
Social media companies would be required to give users a choice to turn off their algorithm through pop-up messages, under draft laws to be unveiled by the government later this week.

Also props to @safety.bsky.app for upholding their community guidelines for everyone. Everyone has the right not to feel harassed or bullied by anyone on the platform.
People saying they don't see "dogpiling" in the community guidelines. "Oh, you didn't put in the word dogpiling, sorry, guess that means I can continue being a shitty person to my fellow humans" Are you for real? Do you hear yourself? Instead of nitpicking the absence of words, READ the doc.
Dogpiling or harassing users is unacceptable. We have taken recent action against accounts for this behavior, and we will be increasing our efforts, consistent with our Community Guidelines.
