1st day of the week long Bradford Bulldogs hockey camp. I suspect he’ll look a little differently next Saturday! Glad he’s finally ditched the Crocs for sliders (even if they are mine!)

I came back from EMF camp to a mostly dead main daily-driver PC. A week later not only do I have even more screen real estate, I’m gaming at a solid 60fps for the first time, well, ever probably (at least on my own PC hardware)

A game showing a current, max and min of 60fps.

Anyone I know got an Apple developer program membership, and would be up for using it in a demo of a small open source app for signing wallet entries? I really don’t want to pay $99 a year for something that isn’t likely to be used more than a few dozen times.

Any of my old school phone hackery friends got a spare distybox they are willing to sell or loan? (Or indeed any DECT to FXS adapter)? EMF Camp has inspired me to dig out some old analogue kit, but I just can’t find my distybox

Before I head to Decathlon or Go Outdoors, nobody has a mid size tent they’d be prepared to lend more for EMF Camp do they? I have a couple of ‘festival’ 2-man tents but EMF looks like I need to take a tonne of stuff, so much bigger is better.

Malort drinkers, Benedictine drinkers, pálenka, Becherovka, Slivovice and Chacha drinkers. If I was running a one-night ‘undrinkable local filth’ evening of the hardest hardcore foul drinks from around the world, what drink would YOU add to our bar?

As we get ever closer to Saturday and the conference day, we wanted to put out another huge thank you to all of our fantastic sponsors ❤️ Genuinely, BSides Leeds would not be able to run without your support. We're so grateful that you were keen to be involved and help us make this happen!

Vibe-coding is ruining me. My desktop is collecting vscode windows like they are chrome tabs. All things ‘I’ll come back and finish properly later’ deep down knowing I never will

One thing nobody tells you about running a conference, the sheer amount of stuff you amass in the run up, and this is with most of the bulky ‘for participants’ stuff (the stuff we have 400 of each of) being at Grom’s!

A messy office jam packed with conference stuff

I did say I’d post about my side projects more often, well for a few months they all get put aside, whilst I become one of the team behind BSides Leeds. We’re just one week away, so time to go and rescue the BSides organisers essentials box from the loft!

4 Baofang radios, and a big box of random assorted conference stuff

Yesterday he came from Hockey Camp saying ‘I worked hard today but didn’t get MVP, so tomorrow I’m gonna work my ass off and make sure I get it’ A few minutes ago he just posted this to Insta. So proud of the little guy these days!

Last nights rabbit hole. Using an LLM to reverse engineer an 80s BBC Micro text adventure into Z-Code, then devise a walk through, then build a test harness to play though both the original and the new version repeatedly, to test it all!

As much as I adore the class of Aspect, when I’m over here without the family, I do like to sneak off to Morecambe’s best sea-front greasy-spoon cafe for a change!
