Trey Mancini on if he's going to try get in TV/analyst work after retirement: "I wouldn't mind. At least on a part-time basis. I want to stay locked in, engaged in the sport... I started public speaking before the Angels called, too, so I'm going to get back into that." #Birdland

Trey Mancini on Orioles career: "When I got called up in '16, that group inspired me, Buck, Adam, [et al] who brought the franchise back to life... I wanted nothing more than to bring that back, too. That was always on the forefront, I wanted to be on the team when they were good again."

Trey Mancini on working back from cancer treatment to play baseball: "Mentally, it was in the back of my mind at all times. That's what made it so hard. 2021 was tougher than chemo to me. I was back, trying to be the same player I was two years before."

Trey Mancini on MLB career: "If I wasn't playing baseball, I wouldn't have survived bc of how fast my cancer was spreading... That blood test in Spring Training saved my life. I would take life over a baseball career. That makes it a lot easier to not ask those 'what if' questions." #Birdland

Trey Mancini on retiring from baseball shortly after stint with Angels: "I wanted to ride out being the majors as long as I could. It was such a fun experience... There is no bitterness, I knew this was going to be what happened."
