my irl friends have endured enough magic yap

I only feel negative sentiment towards magic influencers when they start the video standing in front of a bad card shouting "Why is no one playing this?!," and that's just because I resent the clumsy attempt to spike their bulk.

I threw this in as a curve filler at prerelease, but it actually put in work: reset sagas, redeployed Bilbos, de-Grasped Lieges. I only had a handful of cards worth playing in my pool, so playing them two or three times felt great.

It's Mirkwood Nurturer. Two generic and one hybrid blue or green. Elf Ranger, When this creature enters, return up to one other target permanent you control to its owner’s hand. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.

Flavor Text: “Merry be the greenwood, while the world is yet young! And merry be all your folk!”
—Gandalf

The image is an elf in a tree stealing berries from some squirrels. She's extremely overdressed for this activity.

Some UB IPs are never going to jibe with Magic because the game's rules text constantly reinforces the frame that the player is a powerful wizard. You don't spend resources to play cards in your deck, you tap for mana to cast spells you get from your library.
