I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottomA nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."A mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. A URL for an Amnesty International UK resources page is entered in the search bar, but the page displays the message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."

I am once again asking people to shift their language from "was this art made with AI" to "who is the artist". I'm not joking. Don't let your world become AI-centric. Bc the more you're thinking about AI over the actual artists (not just the concept of artists), the more artists will be forgotten.

excellent example of why you should not fucking trust "AI detectors". wanting an easy, no-thinking-required solution to everything is literally part of the problem *with AI.* it is infuriating to see people who are supposedly on the human side fall for this shit. 👏 use 👏 your 👏 brain

AI RANT Following the cancellation of three major debut book deals over AI suspicions, I decided to put my own (needless to say, 100% human-written) prose to the test. My detector of choice was Originality AI, and the results proved to be jarring, to say the least. 🧵1/5

I've been using PayPal invoices for years, mentioning the word "commission" and have had no problems. The issue arises when you do business by making people pay via Friends & Family. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Sharing this here because it really broke my heart to see this. :( This isn't a call out of these people specifically, and please don't go hunt them down. I feel like a lot of people have either lost sight of or were ever only performing the "supporting human artists".

Does Bear Ghost use Ai?

I love the music but I am skeptical of the cover art for Invents the Cover Album being made with Ai. does anyone know if I am being paranoid.

My reply: I'm genuinely curious what makes you think it's genAI, because I know it isn't without even asking. So I'm wondering what you saw that gave genAI, other than being conditioned to assume that all cool-looking art is fake these days.

Reply to me: eh better to question than not these days. shits scary.

My reply: I understand where you're coming from, but please try to imagine how it is for an artist. Putting all that work into something and then someone looks at it and says, "is that AI?" That feels really bad! I'd really encourage people to try to shift their thinking from "is this AI so I can avoid it" to "who is the artist so I can appreciate them". You answer the same fundamental question while also actually centering human artists.

Can we go back to the H*mestuck drama that was just about, like, people destroying hotel rooms and spitting in buckets? And not this royalties-stealing, anti-union BS?
