Gordon Brown's key failings: Sold UK gold reserves at rock-bottom prices, raided pension funds, and borrowed during boom years while claiming to have ended boom and bust — leaving Britain exposed when the 2008 financial crisis hit, which his own light-touch banking regulation helped cause.

Why has the Labour government blocked Ming Yang's investment in Scotland? If it is security concerns then I assume the planned new chinese embassy in London will be halted and their 33.5% stake in the Hinkley Point C nuclear power project will be rejected!

Last day in parliament as I step down as the MSP for Edinburgh Pentlands after 15 years. Thanks to my staff and all the organisations throughout the constituency who have helped to make my constituency a better place to live.
