Blocking my lacy crochet. 🙂 This is my 2nd filet crochet item and I'm so proud of my work.

Well I found some bug spray and went back out to attack the vines and other wild plant growth. Thankfully I was not attacked by mosquitoes and did manage to knock down some unwanted greenery. Now that I'm sweaty and out of breath, it's time to sit under the fan and work on my crochet.

I decided to go out and cut away some vines and overgrowth near the house. That lasted roughly 5 minutes until I noticed a swarm of hungry mosquitoes were about to devour me for lunch. Gahhh! Back inside I guess.

Slightly cooler down by the creek but just as sweaty. As much as I miss playing in the woods, I'm just not equipped for tropical level heat and humidity. Pebbles and I are now enjoying the A/C while watching a Simon Whistler video on YT. (I recently discovered his Into The Shadows channel.)

Americans, do you plan on attending any festivities this weekend or are you gonna stay home? I feel like this country continues to struggle with making things like Unity, Freedom, Democracy, and Justice a reality. Maybe in the next 50 years, if we, as a nation, make it that long.
