Ming is a pilot, it's her favorite thing to do, let the universe shrink to just her and her ship, whatever type it might be. She also loves to just tinker, elbows deep in an engine. Not that she doesn't like people, or love Callum, her husband. But ships understand her better at times. You can

Be careful when trick-or-treating tonight. I've all heard the urban legends. I thought they were just stories. I didn't think anyone actually did that kind of shit. Then some sicko gave my kid an Almond Joy and, when we opened the wrapper, we found an Almond Joy candy bar inside. Disgusting.

Actually, Frankenstein was the name of both the doctor and his creation, much in the same way that you may share a name with your parents and/or children. Hope this clears things up for you.

Have you seen the backer rewards for SPACE HELL yet? You can get physical and/or digital copies of the book, signed copies, stickers, postcards, a retailer five-pack, you can have @sobreiro.bsky.social draw your portrait, and, if you're spooky scary, you can even have him draw you as a Hellion!

Because SPACE HELL relies heavily on the vast darkness to help visually sell the creeping dread and immense isolation of space, I knew I wanted to try something a little different with the lettering.

A small space station floats in the vast nothingness of space. The words SPACE HELL take up almost the entire top half of the image, dwarfing the station. The names KNAVE & KIRKBRIDE, SOBREIRO, and CVETKOVIC sit below, in a smaller font.

One of the fun things with SPACE HELL was work with Felipe to design the space station. We all wanted something blocky, to continue the trend of design being harsh and brutal while also feeling put together quickly and with whatever was around. Blocky goodness, but also the round bulb at the

Not only does Space Hell look sick as hell, this theead is a great breakdown of what it takes to produce a comic book. Back Space Hell? Space Hell yes you should!

The SPACE HELL campaign is still going of course: horror b&w 24pg one-shot comic by me, @djkirkbride.bsky.social @sobreiro.bsky.social @gofrankgo.bsky.social and I thought I would talk a bit about money. Because I feel like we should, and don't often. Short form: Comics take a lot of it to make. BUT

If your cat stands on your face at two o'clock in the morning while you are sleeping, that is a privilege and you should feel grateful. But if you pet your cat at two o'clock in the afternoon, while they are in the middle of their eighteen-hour nap, you have committed a war crime, actually.

This is Callum, the second lead of SPACE HELL, a self-contained horror/sci-fi 24-page comic which we are currently crowdfunding. Within the first few days we’ve already reached 1/3 of our goal, which is great but we need to keep going in order to be able to publish this issue next year!
