Thinking about bringing a weekly friendly competition over from X. Some might know it. Sharemondays is a competition that runs every Monday. Entering a shot with #Sharemondays2025 tag, taken the previous 7 days. Judged by the previous weeks winner. More info (links) in Alt and thread below.

At the end of the year I produce a small book of all the winners.

All the info can be found here

I'm interested to know who if anyone would be interested in taking part, to see if it's worth the migration. In it's prime it was a great community competition that brought many photographers together.

Books are 100% non profit.

Previous books are still available here

New landscape photography video out tomorrow featuring the beauty of the cypress swamps. This was one of my best trips of the year and I am so excited to share not only what I captured, but also what I learned along the way!

If I'm gonna leave the other place, I'm gonna need a lot more f****** attention here. Let's create a Christmas miracle by boosting my follower account enough to merit me sending Musk a 'Bye, F*** you!' 🙏🎄✨️

Spiorad àird nam Murchan An early morning third instalment of my ‘Latches of Ardnamurchan’ series / side project that spawned out of my 9+ year ongoing project ‘Ardnamurchan Spirit’ and continues to be a delightful observational detour here n there. More details in ALT text.

The Latches of Ardnamurchan / A side project that spawned out of my Ardnamurchan Spirit project of the last 9+ years. Some reading research into the work of photographer and ‘accidental ethnographer’ Mary Ethel Muir Donaldson (MEMD) lead me to reading with great interest a wee sub section on the characteristic ‘mend and make do’ nature and resourcefulness of how gate latches are made and repaired on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
The subtitle section in MEM Donaldson’s book immediately drew me in and inspired a creative response within this series with my main project.

It’s these chance happenings that lead one to look with intent at subjects we may walk beyond or even as photographers not even notice. The Latches of Ardnamurchan / A side project that spawned out of my Ardnamurchan Spirit project of the last 9+ years.
