Thinking about a conversation I had a few weeks ago about how “unhoused” is a better term than homeless, due to it being a failure of the system, not subject to the self I don’t lack a home, I have been made to go without one, systemically left behind

Hoping to catch some respite in Canada since it’s my only fallback Almost all my clothes have holes in them and most of what I’m carrying on me is just stuff I want to keep but add a lot of dead weight to a nomadic life right now I need clothes donations & winter clothing if I’m up north

I’ve been homeless for a month now I’m looking for a place to find my feet and stabilize. I’ve been couch surfing since becoming displaced I don’t have a drivers license and I only have a suitcase and backpack for belongings I have a modest amount of savings, it is not enough to rehouse alone

Realistically I need a place to get back on my feet where I can get a job and meet the minimum requirements to safely rehouse I got a 500 credit score from medical debts and it’s screwed me out of being able to get my own place unless I saved a ridiculous amount of money :(

Flying every few weeks to keep a roof above my head temporarily wherever I can find a couch is unsustainable yet the only thing I can do to stay safe :(

Being sick while couch surfing arguably the most anxious I’ve been in a long while

I’m pretty certain at this point I’m suffering with depression

I’m grateful for my friends and folks who have come together to help me through one of the most terrible times of my life I’m still in the thick of it but I remain okay from all the efforts

I’ve got safe space in Canada as long as I need and I should probably get there to sort myself out.. I’ve been offered a week in Texas, and a week nearby, but all require a flight I’m in SoCal right now, if anyone has space for me in or around the area, I’m looking for safe shelter

Life sux when I need zofran but do not have it

I never know what direction I need to take atp in the couch surf All I know is I don’t have money to fly every week, but flying every week is still cheaper than a motel for a week

Managing panic attacks without panic meds & feeling like garbage when I have to repack my belongings and decisively plan a flight not knowing if I’ll be on the streets soon

Agh anxiety stacking up to the point I’m having nightmares again

I feel scared

Shit is bad and I need a friend

Crashing out over my medication situation

Perilous feeling about housing but trying to keep folks looking out

This medical system sucks What else have I got to say I wouldn’t be homeless, let alone had to survive in an unsafe place for the past year, if I had not been forced to spend a fortune on bullshit

I’m due to go to urgent care for hundreds of $ for a bridge of my maintenance meds due to My provider being mid level and unable to prescribe across state lines I’ve been frustrated trying to mitigate the costs of finding management for my medication I’m homeless, displaced, and I need help
