Chamberlain Bridge and Chamberlain Lake with 10 miles till portage. In the Allagash.
I'm currently teaching U.S.I in a prison. The class assignment this week is an analytical view of the declaration and readings from John Locke. Breaking down language of the declaration with men in prison with two being minorities led to the best class discussion of my career.
When you come down the driveway after a walk and a lovely lady is waiting. "Where have you been? I haven't checked my food dish in 20 minutes and need the door opened." (She checked the dish and is outside lounging on the deck as the sun sets.)
A few moments of forest bathing for you. Find a mossy seat or rock and enjoy some moments. :) It is a lovely day in my part of Maine.
Gracie found a suitable sunspot on the trail from cabin to brook. My fair weather kitty enjoying her best life before winter.
First step of watching horror movies about cabins in the woods while being in a cabin...lock the doors and windows. Bwahahaha, then make popcorn.
Another Project Hail Mary fan art piece by my daughter. She’s on a roll!
How to paint a bird? With the sky, wings, and a tree? Or a few leaves, a feather? The ripples on the water’s surface? Or even the shadow of lightning in a storm? A bird lands on a transparent glass bottle. A tree emerges within it. The bottle becomes the sky.
The artwork in the image is a surrealist painting titled "Bird Bottle" (also known as "Scale") by American illustrator and painter Tim O'Brien, created in 2014.
The moon that can never button itself. Who painted you with color, yet left you forever only half a face? At the door of the universe, so many planets. Who pressed the button? So neatly within a single frame, so many mysterious, colored round stones, like spheres cast away, arranged on a shelf.
Oh, buttons on the door to the universe.
Coffee and raspberry filled donuts for the win this morning.
Wednesday stream....streaming live....live streaming...stream....hahaha, whatever...happy Wednesday! :)

I'm not certain what I expected to see but it wasn't Gracie....waiting.. Well, hello there. Hahaha
"Stanley:Not my Cat" is visiting. I felt something at my foot..Stanley. Then he trilled while striking handsome poses, I gave in and opened the door. He is enjoying a snack and Gracie is NOT amused.

Strawberry short cake and a rice crispy treat for breakfast. Time to swim before firing the grill for late lunch. I haven't showered since Wednesday and have today and tomorrow off for swimming, kayaking, and relaxing.
I saw another group of fly agaric mushrooms as I left the cabin, another closer to my truck. I realized all I've seen the last two weeks are in a circle around the cabin running the edge of forest and cleared space. Paranoia or am I caught? Hahaha...folklore and life intermingled.
The day I rediscovered this way of working was a very good day.
