Structural Enginerd. If your argument for metric is “something…something base 10,” you’re arguing for Fahrenheit. If you acknowledge a pre-1998 college football national champion, you should acknowledge that Kansas is the 2020 basketball national champion.

Sitting on my parents 11th foot balcony at the retirement community, debating whether we should go down and let security know someone just walked away with their car door open, or if we should set up a camera and see how this plays out overnight.

My only thought on the St Paul Mayor’s scandal, is it’s pretty amazing how many online commentators think a man in her position would be getting/have been treated much worse. Have people lost the ability to perceive object permanence or something?

When they first started with this vandalism BS, there was a thread here explaining the coating, application timing, etc. and why it was delaminating almost instantly. Wish I had it saved. Also wish we didn’t have to humor the ramblings of a mad man, when half a second of thought dispels them.

Breaking news: The lining of the Lincoln Memorial’s Reflecting Pool peeled in at least seven places along seams that were created when the material was applied, indicating likely problems in how it was installed, according to experts and a Post analysis.

I love living in a world where this, the absolutely obvious explanation that everyone with a single fucking brain cell knew to be the case weeks ago, was never mentioned by the media as because they were too busy echoing and amplifying Trump's obvious lies about vandalism. bsky.app/profile/wash...
