For 45 years, hardworking Kentuckians have helped create one of the most famous cars around: the Chevrolet Corvette. It was a fun day visiting the General Motors site in Bowling Green to celebrate this team and the amazing work they've done as they look ahead to an even brighter future.

Thank you to all of the first responders and teams who worked together to safely rescue an injured hiker near Laurel River Dam. Your professionalism, teamwork and dedication saved a life. We are incredibly grateful for your service and thankful that everyone is safe.

Great news for Kentuckians who live and work in Louisville: The I-65 closure is finishing ahead of schedule, with 4 of the 6 lanes reopening tonight! We know the importance of this roadway, and I'm proud we're getting the job done and delivering a safer route for everyone.

We made a promise to Eastern Kentucky to build back safer and stronger after the floods, and that's a promise we've kept through our eight high-ground sites. Today we broke ground on 30 new homes at Chestnut Ridge in Knott County, delivering more hope for families in the region.

Becca, a mom to a son with autism, and Dr. Matthew Burchett, a Richmond optometrist who serves rural communities, made it very clear why funding Medicaid is essential. These two bravely raised their voices for those who depend on these services, and we should all thank them.

Frankfort was proud to welcome Target's largest location to their New Kentucky Home. This new store will be the central spot of the new $150 million Paddocks development, which will support more than 1,000 jobs for Kentuckians and drive continued growth for the Franklin County community.

I submitted a request to the President and FEMA for a major disaster declaration for Kentucky due to severe weather and flooding on June 17-30. Public and Individual Assistance will be essential to help families recover, and we’re working hard to secure this federal support.
