Tinkerer on a mission to shift control from servers to users

🤔Maybe issue isn’t amount of slop LLMs generate, but an amount required to do those things 🫣

Thinking of coining "serviceless architecture" term to describe dialog's deliberate choice of syncing without server component which cost some efficiency, but prevents lock-in.

There is a twisted irony for companies right now. In Satya's latest article "A frontier without an ecosystem is not stable," he warned about a future where "a few models eat everything they see." That phrase captures the bet companies are making right now whether they realise it or not.

The industrial revolution organized companies around the production line. The computer revolution organized them around the database. What will be the organizing principle of the AI revolution?

🎯 Need for shared indexes is what you run against when trying to decentralize. Not only we need shared index, but everyone just need a small slice of it. This was original motivation of dialog-db, what if we could collectively own shared index that you can query without having to replicate it all

Can someone I know add blake3 to the S3 supported checksum algorithms please. I’d take non AWS blessed support by R2 also. Thanks

Can’t help but I wonder what we could have achieved if we poured as much resources into elevating human intelligence

fxtwitter.com/Steve_Yegge/... I think it is interesting to notice that beads provides in many ways similar features as issues do in @radicle.xyz Makes me wonder if radicle issues as a standalone tool can be interesting wedge for making issue tracking more #local-first
