GraalVM

@graalvm.org

GraalVM compiles your applications ahead of time into native executables that start instantly, scale fast, and use fewer resources 🚀

Memory is getting more expensive, but Java applications don't need a large runtime footprint. In this Spring Boot benchmark, GraalVM Native Image used ~2.5-4x less memory than the JVM, along with much faster startup. The blog post: patotski.com/blog/spring-... by Viktar Patotski

Honestly, it's surprising how easy it is to port a Java CLI into a tiny web-app with @graalvm.org: parttimenerd.github.io/jhserr/ It is far superior to running the CLI on a webserver, as these leads to all sorts of security problems and also privacy concerns (especially with redaction tools).

Ever looked at a HotSpot error file and thought “nope”? I wrote a guide + built a VSCode highlighter and a browser redaction tool (using @graalvm.org). mostlynerdless.de/blog/2026/04...

whoa hey! Where did that come from? @graalvm.org I believe, and the amazing people at @jetbrains.com who have made #webassembly components out of it! (A nice extra trick for this one if you come to @wasm.io)

"breaking news" -- hilarious. :-P But this is reasonably great #webassembly news right here, I must admit. Now that I look, I see this at @wasm.io next week in #barcelona: 2026.wasm.io/sessions/bui... Gonna be asking questions!!!
