“I’ll just pop in to the book store for a minute,” I said to myself. “I don’t need to buy anything, I’ll just look around.”

'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
Appreciate the instances in which I allow myself to veer off and just go with the specific moment and draw. Battle swords, Bilateral exotropia, Body horror, Barbarian hunters, Bear skulls, Bestial devastation, Birds of prey...(for @castlejackal.bsky.social magazine) #horrorart #scifiart #fantasyart
Today in “details nobody cares about but me and that honestly won’t even make it into the text, probably” I’m just straight up reading encyclopedia entries about the different types of auditory organs in insects
I'm so excited to show BANNED IN FLORIDA in person at Solas Studio SUN WORSHIP, an abstract exploration of passionate worship. Sun Worship: The 2026 Solas Studio Summer Reception Tickets, Wednesday, August 5 • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM | Eventbrite www.eventbrite.com/e/sun-worshi... #ecobrutalist #art
PHEW edits done and returned, I’ve earned a video game break. And by that I mean 15 minute intervals of video games interspersed with washing the dishes I’ve been ignoring for the last week.
Alright so hear me out on my pitch for a Deadlock fanfic event: It’s all Vyper, and each participant has to incorporate a randomly selected synonym for “grundle” from this list www.onelook.com/thesaurus/?s...
grundle: OneLook Thesaurus
Synonyms and related words for grundle from OneLook Thesaurus, a powerful English thesaurus and brainstorming tool that lets you describe what you're looking for in plain terms.

Thinking about this a fair bit lately too. I write a lot with peers (online & in meatspace as well; Sunday writing brunch is a highlight of my social life) so certainly other real humans will attest to watching me scowl at my ipad and type for hours. But it’s still impossible to prove the negative.
All of this week--the Human Authored nonsense, the million-squid cancelled deal, the flying accusations--leads me to ask, how the hell are authors meant to prove that we haven't used AI? I see people saying "timestamped drafts" but I don't save multiple separate drafts. And what does that prove?
Can't believe I almost let July slip away without celebrating the first anniversary of Demonsmoke's RESIN WROUGHT! A brutally heavy album all the way through, I love it!! This was also the first time my cover art got released on vinyl & Transylvanian Recordings absolutely killed it! Congrats to all!
As further measure of how my brain works (that is to say: poorly), today I wrote almost 1700 words and I STILL feel guilty because I still could have written more.
My brain is very troublesome and refuses to acknowledge the 1000 words added to the page on account of I theoretically COULD have written more but didn’t. Being an A+ student in my youth has left me a fundamentally broken person.

I go outside for a little break and suddenly it’s all “hello there, is it tickle time? rhetorical question, of course it’s tickle time.”
The other thing I spend way too much time on for a work that’s ostensibly a monsterfucking romance is the cruelty of extractive industries and the commoditization & abuse of workers in pursuit of profit, but you’ll have to rip this theme out of my cold dead hands before I agree to edit it out
I probably overthink a lot of stuff more than necessary for writing smut (starship propulsion, orbital mechanics, petroleum engineering in low-g environments) but “what is the spaceman’s cultural relationship to gender identity and the phallus” is at least topically relevant.
swear to god this cat was sent to this earth to drive me insane
I’m still a little mad at the cat for her shenanigans and I am now, at 3 PM, ready to fall asleep. But at least I’ve hit my 1k words for the day so I don’t have to feel guilty about it. Not that I HAVE to feel guilty, but I would. Goddamn ingrained puritan work ethic trauma etc.
This morning I’m drinking my coffee and listening to a pair of older women unironically using the phrase “kids these days”
Graceless Heart I and II considering making this design available on commission if there's any interest #art
