ICE has raided Ilhan Omar's home. She was twelve years old when she came to America as a refugee. The claim is that her father might have made a mistake on his paperwork. Elon Musk came illegally as an adult, according to his own brother.

Yes, Reach Out to MAGA! All the good people were morally outraged ten years ago. There's no point reaching out to MAGA based on morality. We should accept that they are immoral & reach out to them based on Trump's incompetence. Trump is hurting them. That's the line: self interest. We need votes!

Put a Bumper Sticker On Your Car! The conventional wisdom that bumper stickers don't work is based on no credible studies that I can find. At minimum, bumper stickers increase name recognition, but I think they also say, "Hey, here is an ordinary, respectable American who is voting Democratic."

On a positive note, it's worth pausing to consider that now, more than ever, we have all the tools necessary in order to create a happy, flourishing society. Our only problem is bad management. The future could still be wonderful!

An argument against "Great English race" types is that the vast majority of the things people associate with Englishness have existed for well under three hundred years; a few, like pantomimes & Guy Fawkes Day go back a little further, but you are hard-pressed to find anything over 500 years old.

I see the Moonies are boasting that JD Vance brought up their imprisoned cult leader's case directly with the Korean president. It would be interesting to know how much JD Vance was paid for this or if there was some other kind of trade of favors involved. #JDVance

Four Big Questions 1) How do we end suffering? 2) Is life *without* suffering even worthwhile? 3) Is it possible to have a worthwhile life if we create a safety net that artificially constrains suffering/hardship/struggle within a certain limit? 4) Does intelligent life eventually give up?
