A more well-adjusted person than ever before

The Dems could put up a thousand Joe Manchins and the GOP would tell everyone they are under the thumb of an Islamist Khmer Rouge that’s putting The Gay in geoengineered Gay Storms that make babies gay, at least the babies that are allowed to be born under the White Erasure protocol and so on and s-

The vibes may be exciting, but if Democrats are going to win this year and in 2028, they must reject the DSA. If you’re tempted by a democratic socialist this year, think of what use Republicans will make of these victories, and ask whether you want to do favors for fascists.

One of the hundred lessons of Graham Platner is, if you come across a truly reformed shitbag who wants to redeem their story, you could offer them activism/service or you could offer them power. What they pick is important to pay attention to.

There’s something about the dichotomy of the America 250 party looking like a middle school science fair and World Cup visitors being like “Americans are surprisingly kind and cool and you have a lot going for you as a country” that’s driving me nuts

This whole conversation has confounded me for years because it seems to have put “how to be a good man” as prior or instead of “how to be a good person.” We more or less have how to be a good person figured out. Make that the primary thing and the peculiarities of being a man sort themselves out!

The positive vision of masculinity is just the positive traits from those traditionally coded as masculine (this is a shifting list, so you can pick your eras), plus whatever facial hair, flannel, and hobbies you think are macho.

Counterpoint: They are grooming teenage boys. Maybe not on an individual level, Asmongold deeply-troubled hoarder who can't physically take care of himself. But "Thinking girls are pretty is gay. Now hop into my private discord to learn how to be a MAN" is an... odd thing to say to CHILDREN

I'm going to need everyone to stop being such a mark for stuff like this. They have learned through years of feedback that this gets them clicks. It's an engagement strategy as contrived as anything a social media marketing agency could put together for a SaaS startup.

Andrew Tate, Asmongold and Nick Fuentes's social media marketing interns having an important conversation.

"Interesting" is several rungs up the ladder that right wing artists are at the absolute bottom of. If they start making anything that isn't deeply embarrassing on all counts then we can talk about interesting. Look at this idiot! This sucks!

The problem is that “I am often scared and angry about social change” does not inherently lend itself to interesting art. You can be as technically skilled as the greats, but art with nothing interesting to say is just a commodity.

Matt Walsh post on X: “Imagine if conservatives, rather than pathetically crawling around on the ground to lap up discarded pop culture crumbs, actually went out and advanced their own creative and artistic vision. Imagine if we used an event like this to actually elevate our own artists and make them famous. What a crazy thought.”
