Come to my #TC25 talk Relationships vs Joins vs Blends at 2:00 on Stage 7! I'll show you how to configure each method, demo how they shape data differently, and talk through the pros and cons of each approach. If you can't make it today, there will be a repeat session Wednesday at 9:30 on Stage 8.

I've deeply enjoyed seeing so many people take on the Binary Parameters #WorkoutWednesday challenge! Here are a couple innovations I saw: - No Strings method based on 2^i from Tesshin Tableau - Set the max character value with a parameter Next up - finding a way to make the string length dynamic!

Come see my talk 'Data Models 101 - Joins, Relationships, and Blends' at #TC25! This talk will walk through setting up each data model, compare the behavior of the models, and talk through the factors to consider when choosing the right data model for your use case. See you in San Diego!

I'm speaking at Tableau Conference
April 15 - 17 2025

So many thoughts on this thread. First, I disagree with the critiques! These colors are fine, not great but not godawful. The pathways are cramped, but clear and easy to follow if you take a minute to read the diagrams. The path color variation is clearly from layering.
