I don’t really care since I don’t own a GM vehicle anymore, but why remove a local TOTP option that you already have in favor of only email or SMS? I hate Email/SMS sign-in or 2FA…why add an unnecessary additional layer of 3rd parties I need to depend on for timely access to an unrelated service?

Good luck to the Chevy Bolt EV driver doing 55mph in an 80mph limit between Grand Junction and Green River on I-70. There’s 60-70 miles between gas stations out here, much less EV chargers. 🫡
