The Gray Gay

Once called the “Etsy Ryan Reynolds.” Texas lawyer with three kids and a husband I love very much. I'm here to share a laugh or two with others, not at them.

“You don’t have to attend every party you’re invited to.” A hard season has taught me this: strength isn’t always standing tall. Sometimes it’s sitting in the quiet, feeling everything—and choosing not to engage. Not everything deserves a reaction. Some things deserve your peace.

at The Gilded Hour, a modern speakeasy soirée benefiting the Texas Center for the Missing—Houston’s Amber Alert provider. An evening of glamour with purpose, where every detail shimmered—but the mission mattered most. Showing up never goes out of style.

Under a cabaret spotlight, a man in full white tie—top hat, tails, gold waistcoat, and unapologetic pearls—pauses mid-sip with a cane in hand. Equal parts theater and attitude.

This isn’t a bag. Six weeks of rebuilding— crystal by crystal, detail by detail. One-of-one Birkin sculpture. Pink crystal. 18kt gold-plated hardware. Hand-finished throughout. It got me through something. Now… I can let it go.

I take a lot of photos, but every now and then one feels like an actual portrait instead of just a picture. This one is mine. Bluesky friends: show me your favorite portrait of yourself. Phone selfie, studio shot, painting, AI experiment — anything. Let’s see the faces behind the feeds. 📸

Shirtless photo of me in an overly bronzed spray tan. I’m looking at camera. Arms crossed. My belly fat pooling on my pants.

Or as Ai says -

Dramatic studio portrait of a shirtless silver-haired man with a short beard sitting against a dark background, arms folded over one knee. Soft directional lighting highlights his face, arms, and torso while the background fades into deep black, giving the image a moody, cinematic feel.

To all the Newskies. Welcome y’all (that means ALL y’all). If ya missed it, I’m a 50-year gay lawyer in Texas acting stupid through his midlife crisis. I've got a husband, a grown son and 2 little kids I love with all my heart. I put out love and silly content. I can't wait to get to know y’all.

Photo of me walking runway at a charity event I emceed earlier this month. Photo of me and hubby last week. Photo of me looking down at the camera.
