Onward walking, cycling and wheeling journeys from #CambridgeSouth and Cambridge Biomedical Campus are safer and easier thanks to our upgrade of the Addenbrooke‘s roundabout, completed six months ago and jointly funded with the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority.

🚶🚴 A busy day on Adams Road exploring active travel and transport innovation in Cambridge. The tour explored England’s first Cycle Street and showed how the scheme supports safer, more sustainable travel.

🚲 Senior project manager Paul van de Bulk led a cycle tour at the Active County Cambridgeshire conference, covering 5km of new sustainable transport infrastructure including Copenhagen crossings, continuous cycleways, rain gardens, 200 new trees, and cycle-priority junctions.

#Cambridge park and ride use is now 22% higher than it was in 2023. We’ve supported this growth with the part-funding of electric buses and extensions to Trumpington and Babraham Road park and rides.
