Our food system is concentrated, functioning as an oligopoly. energy production and distribution is a system of regional, state-sanctioned, regulated monopolies. The elite are motivated to maintain their monopoly and trickle-up. That's why the Fed doesn't bring anti-monopoly suits in these sectors.
