I remember when my library held a NaNoWriMo quiet space for writing. I walked into a room of four women who assumed I opened the wrong door. I said nothing and worked on my horror story in silence for about two hours. That remains my only writing workshop experience. I liked it.

Rewatching the West Wing pilot, and I have 17-year-old notes: 1) Josh would have resigned before making Bartlet fire him; 2) There's no way Sam goes through a campaign begun by Leo or the subsequent months of governing without knowing who his daughter was; and 3) Mandy was fine and deserved better.
Not surprised we are talking about Covid again, but I don't think Republicans want to remind people of the local processions held for first responder deaths. My cousin had one when he died of covid. His mom was interviewed on national morning TV shows. This only reminds folks that it was all real.
Sunday morning compliments: Uncanny X-Men 32 is a humdinger where all the elements of the book hit that Pacific Rim drift. Big emotional moments, great quips, fun action, multiple internal narrations. @gailsimone.bsky.social crafts a dang good funny book. Two furry thumbs up.

I am penciling page 236 of a graphic novel I have been writing for 14 years. I think I hit crazy, but this is every comic I love in one story. It's a valentine. It's me in Sharpie and PITT pen. The tattoos I won't put on my skin, I am putting on paper.

If you have a teenage athlete, invite them to the TV room when their sport is on & ask them to tell you everything that comes to mind as they watch. Ask them questions. Tell them when you learn something. My guy swims. NBC is carrying the national finals this weekend. I love hearing him talk.
There is a moment in Brand New Day when characters trade lines from a global film franchise, and it feels genuine and charming as hell. My son and I were beaming because we do that all the time.
If Blockbuster were still a thing, we'd have our knockoff Odyssey videos from The Asylum on the shelf already. Elon's anti-woke production is already slack-ass.

Medication shortages mean pharmacies move between manufacturers for their regular orders. Each refill can be a different formulation with distinct strength and side effects. For my Adderall, each new bottle can give me tingling fingers, energy rushes, and zombification. I don't know until I take it.
I have rediscovered wine. I will be taking no questions because my typing will be horrible.
