Here at @comiccarnival.bsky.social, we literally have soda pop boxes that we STILL use that are older than I am…but sometimes, the boxes become more tape than cardboard.

Bargain basement Gimli. Somewhat displaced IT guy. Saturdays at @comiccarnival.bsky.social come say hi!
If you think an automation did something it wasn’t supposed to, TELL ME WHAT THAT THING IS. 99% of the time, the issue is with your item or else the automation wouldn’t work at all. What did you expect it to do that it didn’t? Give me a starting point.
A Ghost Arm Made of Angry Ghosts comes out in one week! Go buy ten copies! Or one. You know, either way.
Jesus. I take a few days out to be sick, and all hell breaks loose.
Currently running on hot dogs and DayQuil. How’s everyone else’s weekend going?
If you think this joke is dumb NOW, just wait until I make it again tomorrow. And tomorrow. …and tomorrow.
Is this a graphic novel adaptation I see before me? @comiccarnival.bsky.social
FYI, it’s Cuba Gooding Jr’s character in the movie Pearl Harbor—that’s whose name Trump wants stripped from the Navy vessel. Petty Officer Doris "Dorie" Miller, a janitor—the only roles they let Black people have—rose up to man stationary guns to protect his country when Japan attacked Pear Harbor.
It amazes me how many times I have to say “do not reboot your whole pc, just log out of the app and back in”. Because if I don’t say it…
Look, I’m never a fan of having to defend a large corporation, but in this case Taco Bell did NOTHING WRONG! In fact, it seems like they were more on top of taking care of shit than everybody else in this whole thing.
“It’s unclear why Taylor Farms did not publicly reveal that the majority of the recalled lettuce had been shipped to Walmart stores while Americans were focusing on Taco Bell locations.” Actually, it’s very fucking clear. arstechnica.com/health/2026/...
Drinking all the caffeine today. Tonight’s D&D night, and in THAT group, I’m actually one of the younger guys. So it’s particularly embarrassing when my exhausted ass dozes off…
They didn't like Aaron Swartz's goals (making scientific knowledge more accessible to the public) and they do like the LLM companies' goals (permanently crushing the labor market for knowledge workers)
say what you will about the myriad valid concerns with current LLMs but I personally will never get over the fact that Aaron Swartz was prosecuted to his literal death for downloading JSTOR and then a decade later, they downloaded & ingested the entire world and our IP laws just went ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Namesake of the ‘Major Taylor Velodrome’ here in Indianapolis.
Interview: Frederic Noland, author of MAJOR TAYLOR: THE WORLD’S FASTEST MAN
Dear American Beef Producers, I made a special deal for foreign sellers to undercut you. My tariffs and other actions raised prices, and I want burgers to look cheaper ahead of the election. Also, expect extra high feed and transportation costs next year due to my war. You're welcome. Best, DJT
America: where we live in a command economy but scream all day about the horrors of communism.
That may be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I loved it. #StarTrekSNW
"I tried really hard to pull from as many iterations and parts of the history." Matthew Rosenberg tells us how he's pulling from every era of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to tell his story. Listen to our latest episode🔗🧵⬇️
Now to go home and watch what I’m hopeful is about to be my favorite episode of Star Trek yet.
Join Bruce tonight from 5:30 - 7:00 for some cartoonist community! It's a time to draw and talk!
Who’s got two thumbs and no power? This guy. And tomorrow, it sounds like there’s going to be a scary amount of flooding around the comic shop. Gonna be a hell of a weekend.
If you don’t think that Nightcrawler is simply the best X-Man, then I just don’t know what to say to you…
This month’s @thekylestarks.bsky.social sticker club entry might be my favorite one yet. Did you join yet?
I have not eaten at Chick-Fil-A in well over a decade, but..."chicken and waffle" sandwiches where the waffle is the bun? This is the most tempted I think I have ever been.
Is it weird that I would totally read this book?
What if, in a post-apocalyptic world, no one falls for my posts, which I write in blood on scraps of cloth in the arid world that used to be teeming with life? "It's a shame Decapitator Bob doesn't eat people," I would say. And there would be no one to say, "Actually, it's literally all he eats."
Also, my hands still smell like onions and look like beets, but this is less of a complaint and more of an amusement.
Why does everything hurt? I can feel my shoulder blades, and they feel like someone hit them with a bat.
