Celebrating a month at the new job. My life has changed dramatically in ways I hope I can share soon. New friends, meaningful work, living authentically, hoping I’m just doing what I can to better someone’s life. I know mine is. For the first time in a long time, I’m in my element.

Ran into a beautiful group of volunteers last weekend spending their time and efforts to restore a vandalized Palestinian mural. They invited me to join them this weekend and that I did.

First work week in the bag. Gonna try and drag my tired ass to downtown for me time. Not so easy when the entire city is outside your doorstep to celebrate the annual fireworks show right across the street. Gonna need my politicians to run HeeHaw reruns every july 4th so these fuckers stay home
Sore as heck this morning but here I am on a bus heading to join community to cheer this year’s parade.
Spent 6 hrs downtown today. Started on the transit bus. By the time we get downtown, 17 others, including families, to celebrate pride for authenticity. And then for 4 hours it was just a lot of me walking solo either to eat at my fave place , playing pool or people watching on the street.
I have 7 hours to stare at my closet and decide what I’m wearing to Pride later today.
Spoke to an 81 year old man and got to hear a bit of his story as a third generation Washingtonian. To think I would have missed out on this gift were I not using the transit bus for transportation.
Katina run done. This has always been the most challenging route for me to complete moreso than the ‘hard route’. Hitting those warps on Mateo are, thankfully, far easier in this game than past entries. Only thing left to do is the SectorX to Z warp route.

Gonna run through all the stages and scenarios in Star Fox in docked mode first. The visuals and HDR (which has thankfully been improved on the switch 2) are absolutely bonkers. That said, I’m looking forward to playing it on handheld to see how it performs.
First playthrough done. Where to begin: just majestic across the board. Some parts felt harder while others easier. They enhanced so much of the weaker elements of 64 including the true boss form. I’m in absolute awe of how beautifully this turned out. Incredible work from Velan Studios, damn.
The new orchestral reimagining of the Star Fox music is worth the price tag alone. Also, I am super happy I skipped the demo.

It’s been wild checking in on Price is Right over the years since Drew took over. I just watched my first episode in a few months and watching the crew corpse over some of these contestants is always a good time. Any decade. Wild that he’s been at it for almost 20 years.
Got the green light for my first day at new job this coming Monday. New boss has been super communicative and sensitive today. I still have time to get my neurons to feel excitement instead of anxiety. It’s happening. Somehow, I persevered.
Sonic Frontiers worth it for the mini fishing game and its music alone.
Granblue Fantasy Relink performance on Switch 2 is disappointing. Hoping that gets fixed; design-wise, it’s always felt like an arena style beat em up so I’m surprised it would be that demanding on most current devices.
It just occurred to me just how healing it has been to not hear from the old work crew. I was an outlier, culturally speaking, and I feigned niceness for way too long. Great at my job, we got along but I was looking for an exit ramp for awhile. It was too bad it took them to find one for me.
