Sad news: Concord Casimir, the pierogi-eating cat, who provided a Groundhog Day prediction each year based on how he ate those pierogis, passed away today. Farewell Casimir, you brought a lot of joy to people around the world.

One more thing Groundhog Day has over other holidays is that nobody tries to harm you if you aren’t wearing brown or whatever on the holiday. (See also getting pinched for not wearing green on Saint Patrick’s Day or getting poked in the eye for not wearing blue and yellow on Leap Day.)
