I’ve seen a rise in the number of false claims aimed at artists about using AI to create their art. Some of it is just uneducated speculation because the artist isn’t transparent about how they produce their work, and it seems “not human” how quickly they work.

I don't really approve of GEN-AI Artist "Witch hunts". Maybe I have too much compassion, and should have far more hatred, but I don't really see the "artist" as the direct problem, I see the system as the bigger issue. We live in a society that is structured around Time, Money, and Effeciency.

In art there are two main avenues, art for the sake of itself, or art as a narrative. When you have art as a narrative, the subject being drawn isn’t necessarily what the picture is about, it’s more about what is being done, the narrative made into a visual message or metaphor.

While I understand Age Verification, most people don’t want to throw their ID onto the internet. It’s really not the government’s business what I do, and this notion that “children are being harmed” is ridiculous. Ban children from the internet then, or make them their own. Let adults be adults.

I don’t enjoy talking about complex concepts on BSKY because of the 300 character limit on posts. I get that these blurbs are meant to be sort of snippets of ephemeral dialogue. But big concepts often require external context to be completely accurate, so the information is not misinterpreted.

I think my favorite format of story telling is usually satirical works. Mostly because I see this life as a complete joke, and that sort of humor kind of puts a spotlight on the hypocrisies you often see in others, and even yourself. But it's not meant to be cruel. Really just a flick of the nose.

If you're an artist, don't let someone else dictate what you should an shouldn't do in your creative process. It's one thing if you're asking for advice, another entirely if the advice is just handed to you unsolicited. Just because one artist does art a particular way, doesn't mean you have to.

I'm not gonna give more context other than someone looked at my entire page, saw they were all "sketches" and decided that because all I ever do is sketches, I am not capable of doing anything greater than that. Like... Judgmental much? My linework is literally in my sketches. Color is easy.
